Coffee on Canvas, located in one of the many residential neighbourhoods of Koramangala, nestled between a row of traditional Bangalorean homes, a cosy café that opens up to seat you on rooftop tables and bean bags, complete with a wall full of engineering books and a flat screen TV to keep you company.
As people trickle in, its easy to spot a young crowd ordering hookahs at the other end of terrace. While the quieter crowd is left with a selection of cold coffees, iced teas and smoothies. Besides this, they serve a familiar variety of nibbles like sandwiches, pastas, even Maggi noodles! We ordered the Dragon’s Own, an in-house version of cold coffee and ice cream, a spicy Schezwen Chicken Sandwich and a curious Hung Curd Sandwich, that fared well. We ordered another round of drinks that highlighted the Chuski Kullad Chai, and Fresh Mint Ice Tea with a plate of Nutella Crepes. A happy end to the meal.
What we loved?
With its chill vibe, prompt service, and inconspicuous location its perfect for secret society meetings, a quick coffee with a friend. A place where conversation prevails and we love the privacy, free wifi and easy access to caffeine. Worthy of a visit if you are in the neighbourhood, looking for shelter to hangout with hookahs, drinks and an all day breakfast.
Keep it simple and order the familiar – coffee, comfort food and some peace and quiet.
