The city has gone a wee bit bonkers over beer — microbreweries have popped up in almost every nook and cranny and places without one of their own, are making it their business to have a home-brew available at all times. That’s where Kaitlyn’s Beer Garden comes in, but what really sets it apart is its location. It counts Café Basilico, Mamagoto, Moshe’s and The Sassy Spoon among its neighbours, and none of them offer quite such an experience.
The name, Kaitlyn’s Beer Garden, plays a serious googly as it’s an all-indoor place. But it does work the garden quality into its décor. Every single pillar in the restaurant is shaped as a tree, under which the seating arrangement is set. There’s a community table (obviously, beer lovers constitute a community), and none of the other tables seat less than four, which makes it ideal for large groups.
Kaitlyn’s Beer Garden sources four varieties of beer. For beer lovers, that may not be enough at first sight, but one sip of the Belgian Wit or the Kolsh beer, and you’re likely to change your mind.
When there’s beer, have no (food) fear
The food menu is all bar bites here. If you like it spicy, ensure you bite into the juicy Chicken Lasooni Tikka, the Paneer Paprika, or a portion of Barbecue Wings.
Those with a rather sensitive palate should try the Kaitlyn’s Beer Garden Special Pizza—go half and half (for this is a big pizza). Thank us later.
