So many hookah places have popped up in Andheri in the last few months that it’s becoming increasingly hard to keep count. Each place enjoys its time in the sun until the next opens and the whole crowd then migrates to the newer destination. To get them to stay, these joints have made sound attempts—they got liquor licenses in place, focused on quality food, and now, what’s trending is that they’re ensuring the crowds are thoroughly entertained.
When Sirocco in Versova begun an acoustic night on Wednesday nights, the result was a larger-than-usual crowd calling days in advance to get reservations, turning up even without reservation and standing wherever they found room. All of this, to enjoy a young voice serenading them. So, when Mirabella opened, as expected, hookah aficionados moved back towards mainland Andheri.
Even though the space is large as per city’s standards, it’s by no means lost any points on popularity. And a whole lot of that can be attributed to its food and drink. Mirabella, with its menu, promises to take you from morning to night without so much as a step out of its doors. Fresh juices and an Egg Benedict start you off for breakfast, while the “signature healthy menu” with its Kale Parmesan Crouton Salad and Raspberry Rose Chia Pudding will keep you there for lunch. As the sun starts to dip, a simple yet fun bar menu (must-try: Thyme Rosemary Lavendar Martini) ensures you are spoiled for choice. Alongside, Galouti Kebabs (vegetarian, made with yam) and Butter Chicken Tacos keep good company. It is no wonder then that no one seems to have moved on from Mirabella.
