I say this with utmost confidence for one simple reason—I was joined at BusaGo by a friend who doesn’t enjoy momos but ended up ordering three consecutive portions of it and didn’t want to eat anything else. I can’t say the same about me. I love momos (who can resist a steamed chicken portion?) and a wide variety of Asian dishes.
I also have great fondness for BusaGo’s mother-outlet, Busaba. I remember having my first Vietnamese dish there as a teenager and How I kept going back for more. While Busaba had a very chic vibe, BusaGo is straightforward and gets on with the day exuding a busy yet unhurried vibe. The menu is limited, ensuring that service is quick and the place serves all their walk-ins without the slightest disappointment. Most of the food, including the momos, the Thai curries, the stir-fry dishes, the Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches and even the Burmese Khow Suey arrive at the table within minutes of ordering.
But what really sets BusaGo apart from its immediate neighbours—Masala Library, Smoke House Deli (and Starbucks)—is the list of fresh fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies. On hot days, you can sip on the Detox Me, a delicious concoction of spinach, cucumber, apple and celery, and the Good Morning Bandra juice, a mix of orange, sweet lime and guava, which is sure to wake you up on dreary mornings and after heavy lunches.
The thing I love most? It offers some of the quickest, wholesome meals in the vicinity. And that, in my opinion, is BusaGo’s winning ticket.
